I've baneen craving sushi and I know the raw kind is bad but i am planning to get cooked stuffed like california rolls and sweet potato rolls. i am worried that the food i roder could be contaminated by the raw fish if they use the same knifes and gloves during preparation. should i beworied or am i over reacting? i don't want to put my baby at risk but i could just be worred as a first time mom. your thoughts?
Re: sushi
Don't stress and just enjoy it! I have even had spicy tuna roll because and it does contain some raw tuna. My doctor said anything is fine in small amounts....
Ladies in Japan eat sushi ALL of the time pregnant..so stop stressing and enjoy your pregnancy!
I checked out your blog and it is very cool. I think I will try some of those recipes...yum.
Whatever you eat try to eat it when you feel really hungry! The acid that produced our stomach when we are hungry is a real bacteria fighter - and the best prove for this is a very poor people, homeless - they eat "tons of bakterias" and are even better then we are in case of immune - that is all related to eating when you are really hungry!
You will be fine! I had a craving for sushi last week too...
There is a sushi place by me that has cooked rolls... Yum. I had a tempura shrimp roll topped with cooked red snapper. It was delish!
