Is being brain dead a sign that labor is approaching?

I am seriously having a day...I didn't sleep well and am seriously functioning about a step above comatose today at work. I am 38, 6 and not able to think straight. My boss just asked me about something I know I worked on, but can't remember a thing about. All I could do was look at him blankly and yawn. Thanks goodness today is my last day being here. I still have to work from home until she is born, but I seriously feel like I have checked out. Maybe a little coffee and a snack will jump start my brain.

I don't think so, or I would've had my LO a few weeks ago! I've been like that the whole third trimester. I couldn't even figure out my portion of the lunch bill on Wednesday (and I have taken numerous accounting, finance, etc classes... embarassing). I read somewhere that your brain actually shrinks 4% in the last trimester-- lovely!

If it was, I would've gone into labor weeks ago! I feel like I have lost my mind. I am so forgetful it's ridiculous, and I seriously feel dumb all the time. I am looking forward to getting my brain back. I think I used to be pretty intelligent...

I am having the same problem.  Luckily I'm working from home today.  I brought DD to school late this morning because I thought I had lost my keys.  I looked all over the house for them and finally DD pointed out that they were hanging on the key rack.  And that is just one of many brain farts I've had.  I hope I make it through the next few weeks without causing damage to myself or anyone else.

yes.  LOL  i feel like i'm walking through fog.  I just went for a pedi and left my water bottle there w/ the koozie cover on it.  boo. i love that thing.
