Update again: What we did and what worked for us

I used only OPKs this cycle. We had sex the day before, and the day we got a positive OPK.

I drank loads of green tea this whole cycle. I took PNV, Follic Acid and took fish oil this cycle. DH took a multivitamin and a fish oil everyday too. 

Update: I just did another test, a first response and I see a second line ... Its faint but, "a line is a line"

I took a Wandfo HPT this morning as this weekend involves a lot of heavy drinking for us ($30 all you can drink during college football etc)

I tested at 7:23 AM and then hopped in the shower as I didn't see anything noticeable in the minute that I waited...

Once I was done with my shower (7:37 AM), and glanced at the test again I saw a faint second line...

So my dumb question is what is the time frame to read Wandfos? Did I wait too long to read the results?

PS I know I should reset tomorrow morning with another test ...

For OPKs it is 5 min. I am not sure about the HPT, but I will have my fingers crossed for you. GL! (And keep us updated)

I believe 3 minutes.  Do you have another test?  I'd probably test again today and not wait until FMU tomorrow.  Good luck - sounds promising.

I'm very impatient so I would try again with SMU. I wonder if the steam from your shower had any affect (there is a symbol on the wrapper that says not to get it wet...except when you pee on it).

I had a bunch of other tests at home, but I washed the cup before I got this positive. I don't know if I should hold off on drinking any water for the next few hours and try again ...

I thought HPTs typically say to check within 10 mins but it's been a while since I've read the HPTs instructions

 

If you can save up about 4 hours without over drinking you can take another. If not, retake in the morning

(also for what it's worth, I've check Neg tests after a lot more than 10 mins and never saw a second line show up. Also my positive test didn't have a line go away after over a day. Double check for sure though. GL!)

I just spent the last few minutes on Peeonastick.com, trying to ground myself and convince myself that it was an Evap line.

I am doing some seirous drinking tomorrow if its negative.

I will go in a little bit and get another test. The fact that I just drank a large smoothie doesn't help my case at all either

Now you have to figure out how to hide it during your "big drinking weekend."  Unless of course you are announcing right away.  We had 2 "big drinking weekends" during my first tri, so I became a master at looking like I was drinking- we didn't announce until 12 weeks.
