I don't understand why people get a dog just to keep it in a dog run or chained up outside.I understand people who hunt or farmers that have dogs that work and they keep their dogs outside, but when it's just a pet...why have it?
My feelings on this stem from an ex-boyfriend whose parents would constantly get dogs (big dogs like Rottys and Shepherds) and keep them caged in a 8' x 8' dog pen outside. Then when they DID let the dog out, it would of course be uncontrolable, try to run away, or snap at someone and they'd give it away or take it to the shelter and get ANOTHER ONE. Ughhhh.
TTC 12/2009 Me: 32 - Stage II Endo / DH: 36 - Low count and morphology (1%) IUIs 1-3 BFN, lap Dec. 2010, IUIs 4-6 BFN IVF w/ICSI #1 - ER 2/8: 24R 19M 9F ET 2/13 2-5 day blasts (no frosties) = BFP - b/g twins! E & C Born 10/19/2012
When DH travels (which is always), I don't put our dog in the crate during the day. He is fine. I hate that DH doesn't trust him and I have promised I would always put him in the crate, but I don't.
