delayed cardio update
We had a pretty good cardio appt 2 wks ago. Basically nothing has changed in 6 months, so they can continue to delay his next open heart surgery. It kind of blows my mind since it's been over two years since they thought he'd have to have surgery soon (he had his complete tof repair at 6 months and immediately after it looked like the new valve wasn't going to last so we've been expecting a the next surgery since then and he just turned 3). Anyway, unless he shows symptoms, we don't have to go back until March. And the new Children's Hospital building will be open in Feb, so that's wonderful. He won't have to share a room and there is an actual bed in the room for the parents (craziness...no more sleeping in chairs!). I even heard a rumor that there will be a gym for parents. So knock on wood his next stay will be short, healthy, and in the new building.
