Got this a month ago when DD was just over 5m and plopped her in it at the lowest setting. Her feet were flat on the ground, so we raised it to the #2 setting, which seemed right.
She recently figured out how to jump, and her feet are pretty flat on the floor most of the time...which leads me to believe we need to raise it again. She was 28.5 inches a week ago, so she's a tall girl, but how can she be outgrowing this thing already? I read online that someone had a 30" baby in this jumperoo at the #3 setting and his feet wouldn't touch the ground. Also, I plopped DD into a friend's rainforest jumperoo about a month ago that was on the #2 setting and her feet didn't reach the ground at all. So, it seems like mine is much lower.
What gives? Can anyone else vouch for newer models of this jumper being 'short' or is it just mine? I've had it a while now, I doubt I can exchange it. But it irks me; poor kiddo just figured out how to have a good time in it!
Re: Is our rainforest jumperoo defective?
Has it been used before? Is the elastic worn out? DS is about 28" and I have him on the 2 setting and he is tip toeing.
ETA: Ours was a garage sale find, so I know it's been through at least 1 kid.
Twin boys born too early at 17w4d and 18w2d in February 2010
Transabdominal cerclage placed September 2010
DS born at 35w1d in February 2011
Twin girls born at exactly 36w in February 2013
DD is 30" and is flat footed on the highest setting. We bought our jumperoo brand new.
:Lurking:
My DD has been on the second setting since 4 1/2 months.
