What is the appeal of the Grovia Biosoaker over, say, 7th Generation?
We are going on a 9 days cruise and seriously considered CDing with flats and hand-washing and air-drying, but after a test run of washing flats in our bathroom sink at home, we realized that it is just too much work in the midst of a vacation. So, on to disposable options. I like the idea of the Grovias but they are much more expensive than 7th Gen and I am not convinced that the Grovias are considarably more EF.
Re: Grovia Biosoakers V. 7th Generation 'Sposies
I don't know if they're more environmentally friendly. We always have blowouts when we use disposables, so I've used the gdiaper inserts for when we're traveling with good success.
Hi--I'm mainly a lurker but I do love me some Grovia, so I thought I'd chime in.
The benefit of the Biosoakers is that they are compostable (obv. not something you're going to do on a cruise) and your child still appears to be wearing cloth when s/he's wearing the cover. On top of that, I've found them to be much more blow-out-proof than disposables, esp. 7th generation. We used Grovia all summer because we could go to the beach with a biosoaker insert, and if my son decided to get in the water, I'd just pull out the biosoaker and have an instant swim diaper!
If you decide to go the 7th gen route, size up. I've also heard good things about Nature Baby Care (though I've never tried them).

Agreed. I like the biosoakers because DS isn't going to outgrow them for a long time.
