I'm going to start Landon on probiotics. The nutritionist recommended that I get something with at least 8-10billion bugs in it. I also need one that can be mixed in with food (powder or a capsule that can be broken open) and it has to be dairy and soy free. I looked at Udo's infant but it only has 2billion bugs and has trace amounts of diary and soy. Any suggestions???

we use baby bifidactyl. It has no dairy or soy, but not 8-10 billion. Could you just give a larger dose (the dose is only 1/4tsp)
I've had such a hard time finding products I love. We switch up probiotics a lot bc the gut becomes resistant to certain strains over time. I can't give dd soy or dairy so it is tough. Finding live strains is the key.
We have moved to whole foods probiotics. I was serving everyone a spoon of bubbies kraut before each meal. We eat coconut oil by the spoonful. Now, I make my own ferments, I just recently took this on. I like Cultures for Health for supplies. So far I've made kraut, pickles, fermented salsa, green beans, carrots. I am also making my own water kefir. If you don't have a dairy allergy, go for the milk kefir as it carries more enzymes than the water.
You will get WAY WAY WAY more probiotics out of alive fermented foods than any bottled supplement.
