I was reading a post below about not eating with an epidural. While I was in labor, they asked me the last time I pooped. Why did they care?

    we just like to know that it hasn't been weeks, etc..in case there were issues after delivery with some type of bowel obstruction or impaction...we dont care if you poop on the table..mostly just for a freak emergency type of thing
