When do your LO start to reduce the volume of liquid calories in favor of solids?
We've been doing solids for 3 months now and she generally still eats 24-30 oz a day even after we upped her solids to 3 meals a day.
At some point did LO self regulate and take fewer liquid calories or did you have to stop offering as much as you increased solids?
Her solids portions seem pretty large to me as well. Today for breakfast (about 2 hours after a 5 oz bottle) she ate: 1 whole scrambled egg, 1/3 of a yo-baby yogurt, 1/2 a cup applesauce, several strawberries, and a few Cheerios. She followed that up an hour later with another 5 oz bottle.
That's way more than I eat for breakfast and lunch combined if you count the calories from the formula! And she hasn't even had lunch yet.
Re: Decrease in formula/BM intake
You also aren't growing!!
I have no idea how many ounces Ro takes, but she eats solids like a fiend. I let her self regulate. I think it is very important that she be allowed to take the lead. As long as your LO is growing normally, let her decide when she's hungry and when she is not.

This exactly. You have a very healthy eater!! That's wonderful!
Or they can continue with BM.

Sorry. I was referring to your general comment which is incorrect for a breastfed baby. A formula fed baby does have different nutritional needs.
And sorry, Sonadora, for getting off topic.
No worries!
And yes, I weaned B last month.

Some days I feel that all I do is feed DS! He is nursed about 4 times a day and has 3 solid meals a day.
Something like this:
7am - nurse
8:30-9 - breakfast (about 4 oz of applesauce, oatmeal, and pancake, toast, or egg)
11 - nurse
12:30-1 - lunch (recently it's been sweet potato, pasta, cheese, beans)
3 - nurse
5:30 - dinner (small bits of what we're having, sweet potato, cheese, yogurt)
7 - nurse

We started decreasing when DS started eating 3 meals. He's down to 4 bottles a day for a total of 28 oz of formula. I usually give DS a variety of solids at a meal and keep at it until he starts to lose interest.
Sounds like B has a hearty appetite! Good for her!
