DD has been having more bowel movements than usual. She's eating fine, shows no sign of discomfort, has no fever but her poop has been very watery and almost a mustard seedy texture/color to it. We're used to her pooping at least once a day and now it seems like she's going three to five times a day. Also the past couple of mornings she's woken up with a poopy diaper, which is very unusual for her. I told myself I would give her til the weekend to see how she's doing before placing a call to the pedi on Monday. Do you think I should call sooner? TIA!
Re: Does this warrant a call to the pedi?
Mustard yellow/seedy poop is a sign of a breast fed baby. As babies get older their bowels can switch to being more active or less active. It doesn't sound like anything's wrong. How is she behaving? Is she happy or cranky? Follow her cues and gauge your actions from there. Do you think she's teething?
yes I think you should call. I always call if anything is unusual. Better safe then sorry. Plus it will help you to not worry and enjoy your weekend.

She's formula fed and she seems very happy and content from what we can tell. I just don't know if I should be concerned with the frequency and wateriness of her poop.
THIS
No new foods, but H and I just got over a stomach virus and I'm worried we passed it to her. The only strange thing is she doesn't act or look sick and she's not vomiting either, which H and I definitely were.

Ok, Isla is having some watery poo and his butt has learned to project said poo everywhere outside the diaper in the last few days. So I'm changing her constantly and having to do more loads of laundry to keep up with her. What I've noticed is she's still a chunky ball of happiness, little buds are popping up where her front teeth will be, but she's not crying. She's even tempered and loves her swing and exersaucer. She only cries when she's hungry or wet/dirty.
Now if she was running a fever, screaming when she chews on her fingers and otherwise unable to be consoled no matter what I did, then I'd already be at the pedi's office. But she's happy and content. Her fluid and food intake is well within normal and other than the watery poo, you'd never know a thing was wrong.
Keep doing what you're doing and if SHE lets you know she feels like crap and you've done all you know to do then make the call. I would say the watery poo is due to excessive saliva from possibly teething.
DS just had something like this. It lasted for about a week or so where he was having up to 6 poops a day that were kind of watery. We ended up in at the pedi a week later due to him then having a cold and turning in to an ear infection. Pedi said the intestinal stuff was most likely a virus and in DS's case, the virus and then his cold were most likely connected. She recommended doing the BRAT diet for a couple of days, limiting formula and trying to push pedialyte. It didn't help that DS was also teething at the time.
We had a very similar situation (we're talking EVERY diaper was poopy for like 3 weeks) and took DD to the pedi and he basically told us it was either A) a bad reaction to a new food
a stomach bug or C) both
All of which he couldn't do much for her. He just checked her out for signs of dehydration and told us to look out for lethargic behavior and keep doing what we're doing.
If I could go back and do it again - we wouldn't take her to the doctor

Our daughter just got over a stomach bug and had this exactly. Called the Pedi and he told us to watch for dehydration. We stopped feeding her foods that can cause poops (green veggies and fruits) and stuck mostly with BRATs diet (minus the toast). We also mixed unflavored pedialite with her formula to help out since she was pooping about 8 times a day. She was happy as a lark throughout it, but by the 3rd day was pretty lethargic.
Hope this helps!
