Multiple temps stored on BBT?

I just recently got a new BBT- I can't remember the brand, but it's the one that everyone likes from Walmart. In the morning, I usually temp, go back to sleep, and check it when I get up. This morning when I checked it, there were 2 temperatures recorded, and one showed up after the other.I though the first one might be from yesterday, but it wasn't the same temp as yesterday's. Has anyone had this happen to them? Which temp should I use?TIA!
