DS is formula fed and at around 4 months he started refusing to eat if anyone near him was making ANY noise or moving around. We figured it was a phase and started trying to feed him in quiet dark places and that usually worked. If we tried to wait it out and feed him somewhere distracting (even with a blanket over him) he would completely flip out. Something as simple as the sound of a door opening or an elevator ding would make him stop eating even though I knew he was hungry.
He's 8 months now and it hasn't improved. Sometimes he's fine eating with a lot going on, but usually he won't. It's difficult because I can't feed him when we're out and if anyone comes over they can't talk to me or even be in his line of vision when he's eating.
If anyone has any experience with this or any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks ladies. I remember other people mentioning it on here around 3-4 months but I haven't heard anything since. I wouldn't mind so much but since he splits each bottle into two feedings (4oz then 2oz later), I'm feeding him every hour or so while he's awake. I think my friends assume I'm being overly dramatic because they keep talking when I'm trying to feed him.
