Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Sleep help

I have a 6 month old that is a horrible sleeper.  I honestly don't know how she functions on the small amount of sleep she gets, because I know I'm not doing so hot.  She only naps for 20 minutes max.  And at night she wakes up 2-3 times.  I've tried letting her CIO but she goes from a cry to a scream.  And she's able to sit and stand up on her own so she stands up in her crib.  PLEASE help me with whatever advise or way you think I should sleep train her.  She eats at each waking, but eats plenty through the day too.  Her doctor agrees that she doesn't need the extra feedings, and she really doesn't eat much it really seems like a comfort thing.  TIA for your help and advice.  (BTW she's on Nutrimagen formula and is on 3 solid meals a day (her doctor had us up her to 3) and she's usually eating around 28oz through the day.)

Re: Sleep help

  • There are other methods out there like Ferber, baby whisperer, etc.

I tried baby whisperere method but it didn't work for us.  I liked it though.  I"m currently doing ferber.

Good luck b/c I know it sucks.  My LO is 9 months and I'm still having the same problems.  I wish I would have nipped it in the bud when she was younger.
