Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Stop smiling at me Dang It!!

So nap time is back to being a pain in my azz, he will lay there and cry, cry, cry. But soon as I go in there pop my head over the crib he get's the biggest grin on his face and starts moving his arms and legs in a "Yeah mom is here to get me" fashion. I just want to pick him up and kiss his little face...damn it. He's on to me.

Anyones LO do this? It's like they haven't seen you for days and yet all I want him to do is take a freakin' nap!

Re: Stop smiling at me Dang It!!

  • Oh yes!  It just happened, actually.  I smile and smooth her hair back, replace the paci and leave.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

  • I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had stopped over my house.
  • YES!  Mine does this every time.  What a stinker!  They know how appealing they are and it's just not fair.

  • She does this at bedtime every night. DH and I sat laughing about it today. We would turn to leave and she would pop her head up and give us the biggest grin. It was so hard to leave, but dang it, it's bedtime. Go to sleep.
