Tethering a RF conv car seat?

We just bought a Britax and the instructions are weird. Do you use the upper tether to install your RF convertible car seat? It doesn't look functional to use the one on the back headrest and we don't have one under the front seat. Help! Do you just use the bottom anchors??

We just used the bottom anchors.

Yeah that's what I thought too, but then the instructions suggest it for RF too but it looks really awkward.

hmmm idk then. we don't use it right now (RF). sorry i'm not more help.

DH and I both have a tethered RF seat. DH's car doesn't have a good point to attach the tether to at all. He contacted a dealership to see if they could install something- and they said no. We improvised. We bought a length of sturdy metal chain and looped the chain between the two metal bars that hold the seat to the floor. We used a d-ring to hold the chain together, and tied the tether to the chain. (this probably makes no sense). Anywho, it passed inspection. You may have to come up with a creative way for the tether to be attached in your car.
