Allie (Ally) as a nickname?

Any suggestions other than Allison for what Allie (Ally) (not sure which is the correct spelling) could be a nickname for? I love the name Allison, but it is my cousin's name. I really like the nickname Allie, but want to give her a more formal name that she has the option of using as she gets older. Thanks ladies!

I am with you, I love Allie but my husband wants a longer name and he too has a cousin Allison. We have the same story, my husband suggested Alyssa

And, Im glad youre spelling it Allie/Ally and want to have a full name. My friend just had a baby and named her Ali, yup just Ali. I think the one L makes it look like it could be "ah-lee" (like muhammed ali) and the one i makes me think stripper lol. So kudos to you for your choices!
