Lauren definitely has Trisomy 21. We feel relieved to have an answer and a difinitive diagnosis! We are actually really looking forward to getting the full karyotype.

My biggest fear was not getting a concrete diagnosis. I'm a planner by nature and a worrier by heart, so I feel much more at ease. DH is the same way!

    I am glad that the results give you a sense of relief.  Lauren is going to be one special girl with a couple of great parents!

    Oh, good. I am glad this gives you some peace and the feeling that you can now move forward emotionally. :) It's nice that your DH is on the same page. I am more like you, and my DH is more like, "Whatever happens, is cool." Drives me nuts! LOL :)

    Oh, my DH took the news WAY better than I did at first. I just kept saying, "Im 25! How is this possible?!" He is amazing.

    Where I am sorry you had to join our club I have to say congratulations as well.  My son doesn't have T21*he has a microduplication on the 16th chromosome* but I tutor 2 kids who do.  I am in complete adoration of both kids and think they are amazing.

    Welcome to the T21 club!  Have you checked out www.downsyndromepregnancy.org or the DS pregnancy group on babycenter?  Lots of women in your shoes!

    We were diagnosed prenatally as well.  Made for a wild pregnancy but a way better delivery!
