This is my first cycle TTC and charting my CM on FF. I have longer cycles, averaging about 35 days. I just ended my period this past Sunday and have had watery mucus for the past 3 days. I noticed FF claims watery mucus is fertile mucus. Also, when I looked up how CM usually flows, it shows that women are usually dry right after their menstrual cycle. I know all women are different but was a little confused about why FF was saying I was probably fertile so early on. Does anyone else experience watery mucus right after their menstrual cycle? I could see if I had shorter cycles it could be possible but I am only on CD8 with a 35 day cycle.

Re: CM Question

  • Sorry, I'm not sure why there is all that text before my question. Confused

  • You can have different patches of CM all throughout your cycle.. FF views Watery as fertile so it will say you are fertile anytime you put Watery or EW. This is why it's more accurate if you can also chart your temps to correlate with the CM.

  • Thanks! I actually started temping this morning to try and get a more accurate reading.
  • Yes I get watery CM right after my period that lasts about 10 - 12 days.  It starts to dry up after O (or what I'm assuming is O since I don't temp).  Watery CM/EWCM is considered most fertile but you may not necessarily be ovulating when you see it.
