Patrick William or William Patrick?

We are deciding between two names for our son...Patrick William and William Patrick. Patrick is my husband's name and William is my father's name, who passed away so we definitely want to use it as a first or middle name. I have always loved the name Patrick but we don't really like any nicknames for it so they would both be Patrick. I also love William for a first name and we would eventually call him Will. My brother and Dad both go by Bill and Billy so we would choose Will. Which do you prefer?

I think if you are going to call him Will, then name him William Patrick.

Honestly, they both flow fine, so I'd take the full name of whatever it is you will call him and have that as his first name.

I like both but voted for PW just because William is so so so common right now.

If you're going to call him Will, then I'd go with William Patrick. I also think it has a better flow.
