Infertility

Freaking nausea.

Have any of you taken Desogen BCP and had extreme nausea?  I spent yesterday and this morning feeling like I'm on a boat and I'm fighting the urge to purge because I know it won't help.  I ate so much yesterday, mostly carbs, trying to rid myself of the pukey feeling.

Should I try Sea Bands or something?  Dramamine usually knocks me out, so I'm afraid to take that at work.

Re: Freaking nausea.

  • Yep. It sucks. This cycle I'm taking it at night, and I don't know why, but that seems to help the nausea a little.

Thank you Smile  I went out and got some fresh air on my lunch break and that seems to have helped.  I'm nervous that if the BCPs make me feel so icky, I'm in for one hell of a doozy when I start the "real" meds.

Hopefully I'm just really sensitive (or whiny, take your pick Stick out tongue) and meds affect me more than other people.

Do you know how long you'll be on them?  Maybe we're cycle buddies!

    Twin boys due 7/25/12
  • I'm usually on the 3T board, but had to jump in here.  I was put on the same bcp's this cycle for cysts, and after 3 days, couldn't bear them anymore.  I even put myself on the brat diet to try and help the dizziness and nausea.  I was even taking them at night!  I decided to just forgo the pills and wait out a cycle :(

I hope you start feeling better, but know that you aren't the only one, and you aren't whiny!

I had to google brat diet.  Just reading that made my stomach sad. :(

I have been taking my BCP at night, and doxycyclin in the AM (upon waking) & PM (as I get into bed).  My nausea on Tuesday was all day, and yesterday it was only until lunch.  Today I waited to take the doxy until 10ish, after I got some food in my belly and had time for it to settle, and I haven't had any nausea, so I'm thinking the stupid antibiotics were the culprit!  I was just sleeping through the PM nausea.
