My son's name is Colin. We had this same struggle over how to spell it. I wanted Colin because it is nice and simple. I was a little worried about people pronouncing it with the long "O" sound. He is 2 now and nobody has ever mispronouced it. We are happy with our decision. Also, when we do find little trinkets with his name on them, they are spelled correctly. Hope this helps.
Colin - as in Colin Powell where it's like KO-lynn
OR
Collin - as in KAH-lynn
I don't think I've ever known a Colin who pronounces it like Colin Powell does. I think, in this case, he's the odd duck out. I know a few Colins and it's always been KAH-lyn. I prefer the 1 L spelling.

This is what we plan to name our son and me and my dh are having the same discussion. He prefers Collin and I prefer the more traditional spelling of Colin. So, my vote goes to Colin!

Re: Clicky - Which way would you spell...
Depends on how you want it pronounced.
