Parenting after 35

For the love of Mike, the cost of diaper cream!

Just can't believe how much we have spent on creams and lotions for the little guy.  It mostly comes down to eczema, but we have been through so many different lotions and creams and prescriptions it is amazing.  Even with co-pays we have spent about $500 since June.  One cream cost $240 - thankfully our co-pay was $65, but still that is a lot of money.

This last doctor took pity on me when I came in with my gallon size ziplock bag full of creams.  He gave me samples instead of another perscription.  I think we are finally on the right path and according to this last doctor DS should be all better in a week.  Sadly, I have to stop using the pink cream and I just love the smell Sad

Tip for anyone who's baby has sensitive skin, try Cevera.  It is in the "grown up" section.  It feels really nice on my skin too so I may be a convert and it is less than $20!

  • Charlie had pretty persistent eczema when he was a baby.  I finally found results with Eucerin, which I now use on my own super chapped hands and rough heels.  Works great!

  • Holy co-pay!  That's a lot of money, hopefully you've found something that works now.

  • Yikes! That is bad. Hopefully you've found something that won't break the bank.
  • Wow that is alot of $$. Gracie had excema when she was a few months old. We used cetaphil. It worked great.
