Bottomless Pit

Me, not DS (though he's been eating a lot lately, too).

Why the heck do I need to eat like a horse when I have my period? I'm chugging water and telling myself I'm just thirsty, but I finally gave in and made a bowl of shredded wheat, Cheerios, and banana even though I just ate some Hershey bar after having a big dinner of cranberry chicken and rice. ugh.

Re: Bottomless Pit

  • I'm still BFing and I feel like I have the appetite of a damn pig. Although, with J up every 2-3hrs at night for the last 3 weeks has really made me lose my appetite, but I noticed it came back with a vengeance today. I ate an egg sandwich with cheese for breakfast, homemade smoked chicken burrito for lunch, a peice of cake for a party at work, and I plan on having some chips and salsa when I get home while making dinner. I'm STARVING!

  • Oh my GOD, do I know!

I have second dinner every night after DS goes to bed. He's starting to get back into solids after taking a break due to teething so he's not needing to nurse as much as he was but during that time, when he was draining both sides every two hours, 24/7? I ate constantly. I got up at 3 one morning and made a bagel, cream cheese and smoked salmon. Rediculous.

  • I weaned at 6 months and still have my BFing appetite. I used to be able to have an English muffin and coffee in the morning but ever since pregnancy and BFing, I've needed eggs, turkey bacon, English muffin, a banana, coffee, and maybe water. Then I'm hungry again about an hour later.

It's not helping my effort to lose weight.
