We tried the Gerber Puffs, but DD was not interested, I think because they take too long to dissolve. She looked at me like I was trying to poison her. Anyone have any other suggestions for snacks that dissolve more quickly?
I don't really bother with this stuff. There really isn't any nutritional value and there are better ways to let them practice eating with their hands. H and I aren't really snackers though and it's not a habit I want my kid to get into.

This is us too. We steam carrots or something into oblivion then chop them.
DS likes the Plum Super Puff but they're the same thing as Gerber's puffs. I also give him plain brown rice cakes. Nutritionally, there's not much to them but I tend to give him snacks after he's done eating dinner so that we can sit and finish eating so I'm not too concerned.

This may be a dumb question, but what age are you starting these snacks? DD is 8 months and has 2 bottom teeth, and I havent started these yet, but I have been wanting to try them.
Thanks for the suggestions! I agree with the no nutritional value issue, but I guess I'm just paranoid she will choke on a piece of food (since I have seen her gag and puke with just the tiniest thing stuck on her tongue, and it scares me) so I want to just start with something I know will dissolve. Once I know she can handle the new texture, we will move on to real food. It's really just to get her used to a more solid texture, she manages to eat like 2 crumbs of the puffs, so it's not really a "snack".
BBR, we are just now starting to let DD play with the cereal puffs, and she is 8.5 months and toothless. I think you could start if your DD seems at all interested, especially since she has teeth already.
Re: favorite dissolvable snacks?
This DD loves them! She just plays with the puffs.
