I would like to pass my maiden name onto our daughters, but it doesn't make a good middle name as it is. I was thinking of rearranging the letters to make a better name to use as a middle name. The name I'm considering is Marlee.

Re: What do you think of Anagrams?
In high school I always said that I was going to use my maiden name as a name for a girl. However Bailey has become pretty popular so I probably won't ever use it. i like the idea of it though and Marlee could be cute depending on how it flows with the first name.
Marlee is fine, but I'd probably spell it the conventional way, Marley.
And I kinda believe you're overthinking this a wee bit. Not every name you pick has to have some sort of major significance. Just name the kid for herself.
It depends on the name. In your case, it doesn't bother me, but I do agree with pp about just using your maiden name.
In same cases, it's totally cheesy (I think). I know a girl named Amy and her daughter is Mya. She's pregnant with another girl now and I'm wondering if her name will be May....
