I read the book The Sleep Sense Program and it really helped. My son would fight sleep until past midnight, take 1 nap a day, and only sleep in his bouncer. Now he is STTN and napping in his crib :0) Also, his bedtime is now 8! I get to spend some alone time with BF now!
uh...i picked SS cuz sleep time at our house is a general trainwreck still. of course, i take all the blame, but it is a trainwreck nonetheless. he falls asleep in the arms of whichever one of us gives him his bedtime bottle and then we lay him down in the rock n' play (yes, still. he's is 25lbs. i am aware that this is a disaster waiting to happen) and when we go to bed, we pick him up and carry him into the bed where he sleeps with us for the rest of the night. i am not proud of this.

None of these worked for us. I read the No Cry Sleep Solution, Babywise and Weisbluth's book and we gave them all good shot. DS is a pretty high-needs baby and the crying just went on and on and he got more upset the longer we went.
I really like "The Fussy Baby Book" by Dr. Sears, if you have a needy baby.
Re: Clicky: Sleep training poll (XP)
I put SS b/c the baby whisperer method didn't work. I tried for like a month.
I'm currently trying ferber but somethings came up and got out of a routine...so I have to start over.
