Gymobree classes

Has anyone tried them? What did you think? Was it worth it?

What other options are out there for similiar classes that are cheaper?

  • DD went to a local place called My Gym Children's Fitness Center and absolutely LOVED it!  Other options are The Little Gym and Romp n Roll.  It all depends on what you have available where you live.  I would love to do gym classes with DD again but we are paying an arm and a leg for daycare right now so I just can't justify it since I know she gets social interaction all week.  I plan on taking her to classes again when I'm on ML with LO2.

  • Greatest thing EVER. We just came from our trial class and signed up on the spot! DS loved it! I really didn't find it overly pricey, $60 a month for one structured class a week and up to 3 free play times a week! DS is 13 months old and we do music classes Friday's which he loves too! The only thing I wasn't crazy about with Little Gym (which we looked into as well) is that it is around $700 for the year and you pay for the entire year. I don't want to commit to something for an entire year! You can cancel at Gymboree anytime and it's no issue!

  • We just signed DS up for them the first time today, too!  He loved it.  We also checked out Little Gym and a local gymnastics place.  Little Gym had better equipment (I think), but was more expensive and you had to sign up a semester at a time.  The local place was cheaper than both.  What did it for us was the ability to go to the open gym times.  Our gym has three open gyms a week, and the one near my parents (my mom watches DS a couple times a week while I work) have four.  The two Gymborees are franchised together, so basically, we could go to one class and seven open gyms a week!  Can't beat that!
