It has been almost 7 months since I had my baby girl. I gained...wait for it....85lbs with her! I have lost all but 15 and my belly isnt looking so good. Do you think it is fat or hanging skin? Can I get rid of it? Will it go away? I am so worried about it. I know there is still fat there....what should I do? Has anyone else had this problem? I should clarify that my belly has gone pretty flat but below my belly button seems to be hanging skin or fat...
Re: Will my belly go back?
The skin will not go back. It might get better than it is, but it won't go back. Sorry.
[our kids are worth it; our kids are worth it; our kids are worth it...]
I can say it didn't get worse the second time around...

Come home, baby A!
I don't believe this. I have a cousin and a close family friend who have both had kids and their bodies look almost exactly as they did prebaby. I think it is possible.
I dont agree either. My sister lost all her weight from twins, and her stomach was flat as a board before she got preg again. I think everyone is different.
OMG Im in the same situation!! Hi i'm Danisha and new to the bored btw.
I hope my belly goes down, it wasn't flat prior to baby, but it definitely wasn't like this. I just started a circuit training exercise program so i hope that brings some results
This! Losing 70 is pretty impressive! I gained about 50 and have only lost a little over 30 so far. My weight keeps fluctuating 5-10 pounds even though I've been working out almost daily and counting calories for almost 5 months now. Some people would have lost a ton of weight already and some (like me) just don't. Everybody is different. Just don't give up
My belly is still pretty flabby 8 months out, but it was never very flat to begin with.
I gained 50 and the 10 I have left to lose is squarely and stubbornly sitting right in my belly. Now granted, I have half-heartedly tried and failed at dieting and exercise, so I can't really kvetch about it being there until I REALLY try, and try hard. This time of year dieting is the last thing I want to do too. Ugh. Where's the magic wand that just makes my belly go back to the way it was?
It takes a long time.
By the time DD was 2, my stomach was back to being flat. If I bent over, you could see the skin was a little looser than it had been before, but that was it.
This time around? Well...I guess time will tell. I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight, back in all my old clothes, but the skin is stretched out. This time around I also had a baby who was 2 lbs bigger and I was carrying straight out - so it really did stretch out a lot more.
Hang in there, it will get better!
Regarding PP's comments--I'm sure it's possible for your stomach/stomach skin to "go back" to normal. But, probably not for me. I gained 50 while pg, lost 55 since then and am at a thin/average weight. And I work out regularly but still haven't been able to lose the couple pounds of fat/skin right at my belly.
But OP you should be proud of all of the weight that you lost, it sounds like you're looking great.
Think positive and remember you still have 15 lbs to go and 15 lbs really makes a difference.
If I gain like 3 lbs, my jeans don't fit. It all takes time and thinking positive!
I never thought of it that way. Thanks! I will keep working on it....never thought finding time to work out would be so hard.
