Intro

Hello, I've lurked here for awhile but thought it was finally time for an intro. Turned 35 last week and just got the AMA speech from my OB yesterday. I'm newly pregnant with #2 (after over a year of trying) and happy to be joining you.

Welcome! And lol to the AMA speech. If being over 35 is the only worry, you'll be fine. Wink GL and HH9 months!

You might also want to check on the Pregnant after 35 board. There are also some wonderful ladies who are in the same boat with you right now. I enjoyed that board a lot and found it helpful.

Am I the only one whos OB said AMA isn't an issue? that it is just a number some OB came up with years ago.  I'm 41 and my OB just says as long as you are healthy.

Sorry jacked your thread  WELCOME I am new here too.

Nope! My OB didn't make a big deal about it and treated my pregnancy as any other, with one exception--a recommendation for an amnio based on age alone. I declined. In the practice I go to, ALL patients (even those in their 20s) have the Ultrascreen (ie. NT Scan).
