Anyone else's kid obsessed with something?

My 4 year old is obsessed with firemen/firetrucks. Everything he does revolves around firefighting. He will only wear "fire pants" or a shirt with a fire truck. Thank god for the firetruck line from Gymboree last year. He watches firefighting movies, reads firefighting books, etc. It is driving me crazy! Have we indulged him too much in this? It has been a over a year and shows no signs of slowing down. At first it was cute but now it is getting to be too much.

Robin Hood and/or pirates-- it's all about the treasure. His room is starting to look like a pirate cave. Everything shiny or sparkly, plus any coins he can get his hands on, are on his headboard or nightstand. He's out of room so he's lining it up under his bed.

My 5 year old is obsessed with Angry Birds. It's gotten to the point that it is affecting everything he does, so I am trying to break the obsession. It's not even playing the game anymore. He draws them and acts out his own "levels" with the stuffed birds I made him for his birthday. It's becoming more than a normal "kid thing" for us at this point.

Princesses. I hate it. I'm trying to encourage other interests without banning Princesses. I can't ban princesses - that would be a nightmare. I'm praying she moves on soon.

Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones...pretty much anything Lego right now.

Mine is obsessed with "bad guys".  He watches Ben-10 and owns the entire collection of alien figurines.  I blame our babysitter for this.
