DH is getting snipped today - a gift?

Today is the big day! DH is getting the snip. Of course he put it out of his mind up until today and this morning was asking me a million questions about where he needs to go, what he has to wear, etc. He didn't even take tomorrow off of work...I think he decided if he didn't think about it it wouldn't happen!

i want to get him a little gift or something to make him feel better...any suggestions??

I also need to get sad baby thoughts out of my head! I am 100 percent sure I don't want another baby, but my babies are growing so fast and I get a little sad thinking they won't be that little ever again and I won't get to be pregnant again (although I couldn't wait to NOT be pregnant again when I was!). So any positive thoughts would be appreciated too!

Don't have experience in DH getting snipped and I have no ideas for a gift, but I just wanted to say that I am like you. I don't want any more babies, but the thought of no more really makes my heart hurt!! I just make sure that when I feel like that - I hug/kiss the ones I got!!  Good luck to your DH!

How about renting/buying his favorite movies and making him whatever he wants for dinner?

I don't have any gift ideas but my DH got snipped. He did it on a Friday and was back to work on Monday. I drove him because the Dr gave him a valium to help him relax before hand. The one thing DH LOVED was the bag of frozen peas. It was recommended by a friend that had it done and DH said it was way more comfortable than a bag of ice or an ice pack.

yep, I was going to suggest some bags of frozen peas too.  also, can you get a DVD series or something he's been wanting to watch, even if just checking it out?  Something like The Pacific, Band of Brothers, Dead Zone, etc..  I'll be in your shoes soon enough.  GL to you and your DH!

This is exactly the same thing I did for mine. But, I also bought him some very comfy but supportive under roos and some loose comfy sweatpants.! Oh, and the squishy ice packs.

You are a nicer person than I am:) I didn't get DH anything last week when he got snipped. I drove him to and from the hospital then let him relax when we got home. He chose to go to work the next day and was back to doing his workouts (lifting and running) this morning.

Maybe just see if he wants some relax time and a movie tonight.

lol I dont plan on getting him anything. I gave him 2 kids thats his gift right there lol
