Carseat question

I need to move my DS to a convertible car seat. Should I give him DD's convertible seat and buy her something bigger? She's 31 pounds and I think the weight limit is 40. Or I could just buy another convertible seat. What do you think?

Re: Carseat question

  • We bought DD a new booster with a five point harness and then gave DS the old convertible.

  • I would get your DD something like the  Graco Nautilus, Britax Frontier 85 or Recaro ProSport, and pass your convertible on to your LO.

Yup, that's what I would do. As far as the ones I've seen, boosters seem to run cheaper than convertibles.

Now, if your DD's carseat has flowers and butterflies on it... I'd reconsider. ;)

Regular boosters are cheaper. However, the OP needs a harnessed booster, and those are not cheaper than convertibles.

You shouldn't move to a regular booster until a child is 4 years AND 40lbs at a minimum.
