~Molluskwrangler~ Cooking continued

I definitely try to always give credit where it's due. I'm not enough of a cook or baker to ever take full credit for any of my recipes but I *will* alter them. Hell, I give my MIL credit for her alterations and she's a schiterei (Yiddish term for "little bit of this, little bit of that") baker/cook. I use her methods frequently.

  • lol, I actually know that term. My family is Jewish and my great Aunt uses Yiddish all the time.

I think if you get the chance you should take some classes.  I know the CIA offers like week long classes, they are expensive but  all inclusive and super intensive.  From what I can remember the tuition for the continuing ed courses covers room, board, the classes, uniforms, possibly knives, books...you'd have to check online.

  • I think you and The Mollusk need to come up to NYC for a weekend and the girls can play while you teach me the Jedi ways of the kitchen

  • I wish!!  I won't be up that way again 'til next spring. But if you are in FL come on down, I've got a kitchen aid and two ovens!

~faints~ That is my idea of heaven. I need to kill our kitchen aid. It was H's grandmothers and is on its last legs. He won't let me get a new one until this one is dead and gone.

  • Good luck with that lol. Those things last for freaking ever! My great aunt has hers from her wedding! The thing is like 60 years old. At least you know they make an incredible product.  Start making some bread, that should kill it. lol Challah to the rescue.
