2u2 and one of them sick?

Anyone have any advice on how to deal with a almost 2 year old who has croup and a almost 2 month old infant? DD#1 woke up tonight with the infamous barking cough of croup. I'm terrified that DD#2 will get this also. Luckily, DH has Mon-Thurs off of work, so as of now, he is taking care of DD#1 and I am taking care of #2, but I feel as though I'm neglecting my sick one.Its esp hard because I am a nurse, so my first instinct is to take care of my sick baby, but I also don't want to jeopardize the health of my 2 month old. Any advice on how to deal with this?

    I think this happened to us, too.  # 2 didn't get sick and I was taking care of both (with DH's help). Your #2 will have some pretty strong immunities right now.  Just do careful hand-washing and you should be fine to care for both.

    Babies generally don't get croup. DS had it when DD was a baby, and she never got it. If anything your DD#1 may pass a long a cold, but not croup. Hope she feels better soon!
