You can set up a group in Goodreads.  It's sort of a social networking site for booklovers.  You can set up a group, take polls for suggested books to read, check out reviews, that sort of thing.

I'm right there with you, I'm not sure people would be into my style. A book club sounds like a great idea though!

I love Goodreads.  I learn a lot about my friends from their reviews on there.

Sorry, I just saw your question. Goodreads is social networking for bibliophiles. You can list, rate, and review books you've read, and your friends can see your activity and comment on your book choices and reviews. I love being able to keep track of what I've read and when. I also keep a to-read list on there, and it's really easy to add books if my friends rank them highly. I get invitations to book signings and other local events with authors I've ranked, and I've even had an author respond to my review of his book.
