What's this? She's in daycare. Nurses once over night and in the morning, then I have been nursing her before bed. On weekends, I BF overnight, in the morning, after both naps and before bed. Suddenly, she's not wanting to nurse at all in the morning. She'll nurse overnight, in the morning, and after the first nap, but not after that. She'll take a bottle.
What's going on? I am not ready to give up BFing and I don't actually think my 8 month old is self-weaning already.
Re: 8 m/o not wanting to nurse?
Could be a nursing strike. A strike can happen for a lot of different reasons. DS#2 had one around 7.5 months. Just keep offering the breast and push through...usually only lasts a week or so. As long as she is having enough wet diapers, you shouldn't worry. Try to keep your supply up though.
Could be due to teething! The bottle isn't as hard on their gums because the milk just kind of drips out without much effort.
Good luck!
