Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Suddenly an early riser

Colin has been STTN consistently for maybe a month now. He used to sleep until 6 or 6:30 am, which was fine.. this week, it's been 5 or 5:30 am. I tried to explain to him that on Saturdays and Sundays, we don't have to get up early. He hasn't listened yet, though. Coffee

Anyone else getting up at the butt crack of dawn like we are?

Oh, and DH is in the bed sleeping soundly right now. I would be jealous, but this is the only time I get the TV remote all to myself, so... Smile

Re: Suddenly an early riser

  • We are actually having the opposite happen at our house. Both boys were early risers in the summertime. As soon as the sun came out, the were awake (530am!) and yes, we have blackout shades. ::shrugs::

Now, they have been sleeping until 7, sometimes even 8! Hopefully its just a phase and he will go back to sleeping later for you!

  • Yeah, my little guy usually would sleep until 8-8:30, but now it's 7-7:30. : He's been doing this for almost two weeks now, and I would reeeeeaaaaally love for him to go back to 8!

  • If mine wakes that early, he goes back to sleep within an hour. I can't understand why he just won't stay asleep, little bugger.

Gosh, can't wait until the time change...

  • A has been waking around 6 lately. He goes down at 9 and sleeps until 8 usually, so this has been new and different. If I ignore his babbling, he'll usually go back down until around 7. Not this morning though! Coffee
