Give me hope!

I am due on Friday.  I had my appointment this morning and....nothing!  I am not dialated, shortened, or anything else hopeful or exciting.  I am going back in on Monday for a NST and ultrasound.  I am just worried about not making ANY progress at this late stage.  I keep thinking this means I am going to be really late (my doctor will let you go 2 weeks past due date) and will have to have a lot of interventions.  Just venting, I know that it could be much worse and that I have to keep in mind the important things.  It is just frustrating.  Thanks for listening and good luck to everyone out there!

My mom said she never dilated before going into labor...so even though you don't appear to be progressing you can still go into labor spontaneously.  Hopefully that'll be the case for you!

I am sorry to hear that.  Progress doesn't always mean that labor will happen.  Also no progress doesn't mean that labor can't happen.  However I have accepted interventions now, this is for sure not what I planned on.

No worries! I've been dilated to 2cm and 50% effaced for over three weeks and it has obviously meant nothing. False hope! At my appointment today the doctor said he still thought I'd be 40+wks before she joins us. ?Hang in there!
