DH and I are chatting about another and we're butting heads on girls names.
DD is Josephine Hope which were our grandmothers names.
A new girl would have the MN of Pearl. No changing that.
I love Camille and Nina, but they were H's great aunts, the sisters to his grandmother Josephine. What a coincidence. I think his family would side eye that
My top runners:
Simone- H hates it
Monica- DH hates it
Bianca- DH thinks its a dogs name
Cecilia- He hates it and I'm waffling on it
Rosemary- our favorite name ever but AWFUL with our last name
I do not like newer trendy names like Harper, Piper, etc. I also don't like anything above the top 100. Nothing popular.
Last name is Italian, ends in -rosa.

ETA: nevermind my "Opal" suggestion. Opal Pearl is absolutely hilariously horrid. My mistake LOL.

There's another mom on this board with a daughter whose name is Myla Pearl...and I like it! Totally not my style normally...but I think it's so pretty!
Umm...but I suppose neither of those are within the top 100? I don't know. I don't pay attention to things like that.

I like most of these names! DH loves Francesca but I just can't get down with it. I've actually run a few of these by him. He's so picky!

I love italian girl names, including Fanceseca. I also love Lucia Pearl or Antonia (and you could call her Toni for nn, but I might be partial to that haha)

Maybe you could give Annika a try? It sounds like it suits your style.
And possibly a different "Mary" name (instead of Rosemary), like Marion, Marilyn, or Maria?
How about Marjorie instead of Rosemary?
We just named our daughter Nina. I read somewhere it's related to Antonia.
Our Nina's middle name is Lucille. I think that would go well with Josephine (which was my choice for mn but DH didn't like it as much).
You got the Rosemary thing right. I've tried to argue that she may not have the last name forever but it's really a tongue twister. I love Lucia but I don't like the alliteration with our last name (it starts with L).
I went through the list and DH was less than helpful. I'm tempted to pull the "we named the last one after your grandmother so it's my choice" card.
This has been fun to get some ideas! Hopefully soon this will be useful
