Question about crawling

My LO has been getting up on her hands and knees and scooting/sliding backward for about a week.  How long were your LOs doing that before beginning to crawl?  I'm just curious what kind of window I have before all hell breaks loose.

Molls scooted and crawled backward for about a month before she got going forward. She started pulling up and cruising prior to that though.

ETA: She had also been getting everywhere rolling, so combining that with I the scooting backward and pulling up I think she was pretty content not crawling, the doctor actually thought she would walk and not crawl. (This was at her 6 month appointment), after hours of not being able to get between two points she just busted out the crawling like it was nothing lol. I think she started at 6 months.

Just over a week. He just figuered it out yesterday and he's already all over the place! I am not prepared for this!

Abby JUST ( like.. as of yesterday) started actually moving once she got up on hands and knees. She had been getting herself up and then sitting.. then back to all 4's.. for about 3 weeks before she actually crawled.

It took about a month from the time he started getting up on all fours and rocking to when he started crawling and really moving forward. He's getting fast too!

My DD has been doing it for about 2 weeks with no forward movement yet.

Backwards didn't last long around here...maybe a week tops.  Then he would get up on all 4s, push himself forward with his legs, flop to his belly to move his arms, then repeat. 

DS1 army crawled for a month before real crawling as well and was 2 months later at doing it, so really they are just all different.
