Tonight we are going to my cousin's wedding reception. She got married in a private ceremony last week and the reception dinner is tonight. Everything was very last minute, we JUST got the invite ( via FB)Thursday night.  One my aunts sent me a message regarding everything yesterday and we were chatting back & forth about it when suddenly she comes out with " the kiddos are coming? Will she think it's all about her?" meaning DD.

WTF? Does that sound rude to anyone else? I mean it's not like DD is young enough so she might still think that. She's 3 and definitely knows the difference between when a party is for her or someone else. I just told her that no, I didn't think she would think it was all about her and left it at that. But it definitely annoyed me.

That seems like a crazy thing to ask. Why would she even think that your DD would think the party is about her? You handled it much better than I would have. I probably would have been kind of snarky.

Trust me....took all my will power not to say something snotty. I'm super pissed and the more I think about it the more pissed I get. Tonight should be interesting

What a stupid thing to ask.  Even if she was thinking it(which is odd), why would you ask that?  Yea, I probably would have said something snotty too.
