So my husband has recently decided that he really likes Lane for a boy. I am actually the one who even brought it up to him in the first place, so obviously I like it(we have completely opposite opinions on names, so I'm happy he likes something I do). Anyways, I'm completely fine meeting in the middle with Lane(it's MUCH better than any of his other choices). So I guess what I'm getting at is the middle name. I would really like it to be after my side of the family since our first son's is after my H's. FWIW, my 3 y.o. son's name is Garrett Cole ______. My two middle name options are Dean or Lee, neither of which sound great with Lane. I personally think Lane Dean (Lastname- 2 syllables, starts w/ a

sounds better of the two. So does Lane Dean sound just awful? I know you ladies will give it to me straight.

And I apologize if I am rambling, I am enjoying some wine tonight.

PS- not pregnant yet, just ttc!
Re: Lane for a boy with the middle name...?
I don't think one-syllable names work well together for a fn AND a mn.
I would suggest that a two- or three-syllable mn would sound better with Lane. But that won't work for you, will it?
Could you just use another name with the same initial as one of your family names for the mn?

Sorry I had to do it
I would either pick a different mn and go with Lane as a fn. Or I would pick a new fm and go with Lee or Dean as a mn. I don't like the combinations of Lane Dean or Lane Lee.
What about Dean as a fn?
