If you really don't like the way it looks then I have an option for you.
I did a Harry Potter themed party for my son's birthday years ago. I made him a castle "cake" out of rice krispie treats. I used my cheesecake pans as forms and used the cocoa krispies instead of plain. I made each tier and put icing in between. I think I used about 4 large pans and stacked them all.
For the turrets on the top I took flat bottom ice cream cones and dipped them in chocolate. I iced the open rim and set them around the top. I took toothpicks and cut 2-3 inch long rectangles out of construction paper. I glued them around the end of the toothpicks to make flags and inserted them in the top of the turrets.
If you want to make it a girly castle from there then get the cupcake hard icing flowers in the pinks and purples and make her a garden in front of the castle. For the door you could use Hershey bars and break the little bricks apart, ice the back and set them on the front to design your door.
Treat the decorating like you would a ginger bread house, use different candies to design your own castle.
