Avent bottles leaking?

I wash them by hand, everything is where it should be and they are leaking, wtf?!

We have them and when they leak I just twist off the top, wipe around the edges of the bottle and inside the nipple rim and put it back. Seems to work. It's a pain in the @ss but I love the bottles otherwise.

They leaked for us if I tightened the lid too much.

Thanks, I've never had them leak before and then the last few days I'll feed her and tip them back up and get stuff everywhere or shake them to mix a bottle and get formula everywhere.

 No problem! I think I actually picked up the tip from somewhere here.  I know how annoying it is when it happens. I've gotten so that I automatically do the wipe thing even before I have an issue with it leaking...just in case.

You are overtightening. Seems counterintuituve, but you should just tighten slightly.
