    That villaness scared the crap out of me as a kid!

    I do know someone who uses Millie as a nn for Amelia.  Very cute, imo.

    My great grandmother's name was Mildred and her NN her whole life was Millie.

    LMAO!  I adore Millie!  DH's stand-in grandmother/mother's name is Millicent and she goes by Millie.  But all I can ever think of with Millicent is Maleficent!!  And I'm not a fan of Mildred either.  Just plain Millie is on our short list, but it's doubtful it will get a place unless we have like 5 girls or something.

    I actually love the nn Millie!  I'm sure there are other fns that could use this as a nn.  One that comes to mind is Camilla.

    I know two people who go by Millie.

    MIL fn is Mildred but goes by Millie 

    A friend named Milagros goes by Millie. She is of hispanic decent.
