We went yesterday for our first ultrasound, and we found out that we are having 1 baby! There was another gestational sac in there, but it was completely empty. Which makes me REALLY glad that we decided to put 2 babies back in there. ![]()
Our baby was measuring right where it needed to be (6w5d) and we were able to hear and see the heartbeat! It was nice and strong at 127. It measured 8.1mm. Our official due date is May 12, 2012. It was so absolutely surreal seeing it, much less hearing it.
The great thing was that it was also DH's birthday, so it'll definitely be one he will never forget. Our RE was excited for us, hugged us both, and told us that we've officially graduated.
My next appointment is with my OB on 11/8, which seems like it is forever away. After having so many appointments all the time, it's kind of weird to not have one for about 6 weeks.

I know it took me awhile to adjust to not having weekly appointments like I did at the RE. And I was in total ultrasound withdrawal when I first started with my regular OB.
