I responded to sbux's post below about toothless wonders that we were in the same boat.  Just now, DD was playing on the floor and she started chewing like she'd picked something off the floor and eaten it.  So I picked her up and swept my finger in her mouth to make sure she hadn't eaten hair or something gross and lo and behold, her first tooth cut through on the bottom and that's what she was chewing on!  She wasn't drooly or cranky so I guess I didn't expect it.  She's been clingy and not hungry the past few days so in retrospect those were probably the signs.

Once the surprise wears off, I'm definitely going to be a little sad that my baby is growing up
