Breastfeeding plus formula?

With my first child I EBF and I'm torn about this but I'm thinking I may need to supplement here and there with some formula to make things easier.  How many did this and how did you work it out?  Thank you!

I had to do that.  I just BF or gave pumped milk whenever possible and then gave additional formula bottles if he still seemed hungry or whenever it wasn't possible to pump enough or be with him.  It's hard, but you just have to judge on a case by case basis.

Since about 6weeks I have nursed DS in the morning, early afternoon and nighttime. He gets a bottle of formula every other time. I'm just not a good pumper and I teach half days. It has worked very well for us. My body had to get used to it. for the first 6 weeks I nursed like crazy to build up supply. I still nurse every chance I get on the weekends. Honestly, I love it because it gives me a break and allows someone else to feed DS and spend time with him without me having to be attached to the pump.

Even though you nurse every other time during the week, you're still fine to nurse every time on the weekend??!!

DD was mainly BF but had formula sometimes if I was traveling for work without her and I was short 2-3 bottles.

Never had an issue. Hated the diapers though
