Owen is coming home!

Something clicked this week and as of last night he was all oral for 72 hours and passed his car seat test around 2:00am this morning.  Today he'll have all of his final appointments with his OT, dietician etc., and if all proves well we'll do care by parent tonight and come home tomorrow morning!

 

Any advise for care by parent?

That's great news!

Is care by parent (rooming in?).  I roomed in and the nurses literally just came in to make sure I was awake (for feeds).  I just couldn't wait to get home.  Congrats on your upcoming discharge.

We made it home!

 

He was not a fan of the stroller, car seat, the sun, the wind, or anything else not resembling the NICU. 

 

We have his first doctors appointment on Monday and we're taking the subway (we don't have a car and none of our parents are able to take us do to work or the fact that they live hours away). Wish us luck.
